A sequence of unrelated incidents in the city of Guwahati set the stage for Dr. Bezbarua 2’s opening. After living in England for several years, Shantanu (Siddharth Goswami) returns to India. Upon his arrival, Dr. Bezbaruah (Adil Hussain), a reminder of some unfinished business, comes to torment him from his past in the city. Dr. A.S. Bezbarua is a well-known physician and social worker who is set to travel abroad on a trip that will be significant to the state and its citizens. It’s up to a politician, a head of a news station, and an unidentified jacked bad guy to operate their various nefarious enterprises and figure out how to handle the dangers to their respective existence. Mahadev Borbarua (Zubeen Garg), a charming but disobedient police officer, arrives in the city and is quickly drawn into criminal investigations involving the illegal trade in narcotics and weapons that may include prominent local merchants and politicians. Each of these threads weaves together as the movie goes on to provide a seamless and interesting plot that explains each character’s role in the story and why they are the way they are.
